Kamla Poddar Institute the most promising institute in the field of Design and Management celebrated Independence Day with full enthusiasm and great honour. Mrs Kamala Poddar the chairperson hosted the Flag on this occasion and gave the message that we all should work in the interest of our nation and feel pride in being Indian. We should not divide ourselves in caste or communities and work together to make a strong nation. At the end of her speech she paid her homage towards the freedom fighters and address all to get inspired from the people who devoted there lives for freedom struggle.

Creativity was made medium by the INIFDians to showcase love and devotion towards the country. They painted flag on their faces and made tattoos on their bodies. A student painted Saree on this occasion showing 1857 revolt, which was praised by all.

Students dressed themselves as freedom fighters like Rani Laxmi Bai,Bhagat Singh,Subash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu etc.and pay there homage to these great freedom fighters who sacrificed there lives for the country.

At the end of the function Mr. Abhishek Poddar director of the institute gave his best wishes to all for the 64th Independence day and said that we should all understand the importance of this day and celebrate it with great enthusiasm and pride.
