INIFD has given this prestigious Lakme Fashion Week platform to its students to portray pure timeless silhouettes. INIFD\u00a0has set a novel bench mark by giving its student an opportunity to showcase their works in the same arena as the Lakme Fashion Week designers. More than 1000 entries were received from all across India and out of which only 100 designer garments were selected by the panel of Designers\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week gave a sneak peak into\u00a0a designer&#8217;s creation providing an exclusive look at the collection. INIFD housed their best creations at the INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion week, giving the fashion forward guests a preview of the future designers in India. The end of the calendar year marks the time of festivals and celebrations, such as Dusshera, Diwali and Christmas, along with weddings. Each is an integral part of Indian culture and plays an important role in promoting Indian fashion. The festival and marriage season in India are key contributors to the fashion and retail market. The addition of\u00a0&#8220;Festive&#8221; represents a formal acknowledgement\u00a0of one of the most influential cultural and commerce periods in the domestic buying in India each year.<\/p>\n<p>INIFD student designer Om Kumawat said \u201cI am very thankful to INIFD for giving this opportunity to display my designer garment at the India\u2019s biggest platform Lakme Fashion Week. I am proud student of INIFD as our institute has helped us to learn the techniques of Fashion and has given us this biggest platform to showcase our talent and creativity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD)\u00a0time and again reinstates its corporate endeavor to showcase to the Indian Fashion fraternity the credibility of the new crop of designers that is seen across 180 of its centers year after year.\u00a0\u00a0INIFD makes every effort to present fashion from across India by polishing the creative minds of the students every day.\u00a0The garments presented at the INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week were scintillating contributions from INIFD Centres pan India depicting the grandeur and aesthetics of our country.<\/p>\n<p>Ranging from gowns to traditionally silhouetted garments, to the techniques &amp; accessories accomplished, creates amazing treat to the world of fashion. Maple leaf, Afro Euphony, Five elements, Lil Miss Maiden, being some of the luring themes, leave to the masses a meaningful message on Mother Nature, our universe and also a message to the society for saving the girl child. Flamboyant themes like the Karachi Travels and elements.<\/p>\n<p>Basic techniques being some explicit traditional textile weaves and arts from the interiors of India, covering the Applique work, Embroidery, Draping, Batik, Cut work in combination to layering have been beautifully displayed in the garments. Also, handmade accessories like the Headgears, Armlets and Bead work in combination to the traditional jewellery in support of garments have been showcased.<\/p>\n<p>INIFD stall at Lakme Fashion Week Winter\/Festive 2010 showcased the innovative designer garments and reinvented traditional art forms that would cater to the modern Indian woman by giving their flight of imagination a distinct vision.<br \/>\nINIFD Location Head Swati Bhargava describes it as a wonderful learning experience for the students.
